2011-2012 Chapter Goals
For the active members I’m sure you’ve noticed a change in the leadership. Last year, our chapter decided to start encouraging
our more recent Circle Degree members to participate in the Alumnae chapter. Our Officer board is made up of a diverse
group of Alumnae ranging from one year out of college to… well just a few more years.
Our primary goal for our Alumnae chapter is recruiting new Alumnae.
The foundation of our sorority lies in membership. Without members we would have no wind to carry our sails. If there are any Alumnae in the area that are not aware of our chapter please reach out to them.
Our secondary goal this year is Collegiate support.
For the women that to do not know, our Alumnae chapter won a National Sisterhood award for their support of Eta Kappa at TWU. We wish to continue this trend and be there to support to our collegiate members. Many of the active members in our Alumnae chapter, including officers, are Advisors for Eta Kappa and helping to organize more functions where our two groups can meet and get to know one another.
As many of you know, the transition from Collegiate to Alumnae life can be very difficult.
Some of the biggest leaders in our chapter don’t get involved until 10-15 years after graduating. Their contribution to our chapter is HUGE and with our support we can help bridge the gap between the transition of Collegiate and Alumnae membership.
